Title: Sever
Authors: T.L. Smith & Melissa Jane
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Release Date: July 18, 2019
One man’s wife is another’s obsession.
We had a love I thought could never be broken. But I was wrong. We weren’t as strong as our vows once promised.
Dark secrets and vicious lies, they tore us apart.
They cut too deep, leaving open wounds.
Pain is something that should never come from the man you love. Forgiveness, understanding, tenderness, yes. But never pain.
But the fact remains. He is my husband and I am his wife. Perhaps he should have remembered that a year ago when he committed his first sin against our marriage. And perhaps then, I wouldn’t have fallen for the devil.
A devil who had me in his sights from the very beginning.
A devil who swore to never let me go.
HOSTED BY:
I found this quite hard to really get into to begin with. Usually when I read books by these authors I’m immediately hooked but it took me a good 6 or 7 chapters before that happened. Once it did though I don’t think I put my kindle down once. This story sucked me in. A marriage in crisis, secrets, lies and betrayal, another man....I thought I knew what I was in for but I had no idea. Usually with books like this I pick a ‘team’ fairly quickly but again this wasn’t the case with Sever. I went back and forth, the more I knew the more I questioned. The ending was completely unexpected. I didn’t dislike it, it was just unexpected, it didn’t go the way I thought it was going to. Overall I did enjoy this book. Nothing about this was what I thought it was going to be and if you like a book that keeps you guessing, this is definitely one to check out.
