This is the concluding part to Anna and Rafaels story so the previous two books do need to be read first. 

Have Me picks up not long after Hold Me ended and Anna is feeling completely lost. I’ve always liked Anna but in this book I found myself growing increasingly annoyed with her. I always found an inner strength to her character and I was disappointed in the path she choose to help her move on from Rafael. Her sister Una really got on my nerves. I understood what she was trying to do, loved that she cared enough to try and help Anna but I just couldn’t warm up to her. I found her controlling and cold (and yes I am aware that her character is supposed to be like that 😉) but I struggled with the constant cold front she exudes. 

Rafael frustrated me with his stubbornness (I’m sensing a pattern here). He did the exact opposite of what I wanted and while I adore his character, I could’ve slapped him at times. 

I enjoyed reading Have Me even though it’s not my favourite out of this trilogy. The characters, although frustrating at times, are easy to connect with especially knowing their stories and pasts, and like the previous books in this series it’s got plenty of action to keep you turning those pages to find out how Anna and Rafaels story ends. Overall, Have Me is good conclusion to a great series.

Hold Me is the second book in the Collateral series and these books do need to be read in order. 

Wow what a ride this series is turning into. Full of suspense, mystery and intrigue this story has turned into so much more than I was expecting. Ana is a wonderfully complex character. After every thing she’s been through how she’s still standing is beyond me but somehow she still is. My heart shattered for her reading this book. Rafe is Rafe. He’s still the big bad cartel boss who rules things with an iron fist but it’s his softer, sweeter side that I love about him. With everything Ana has been through, will he be able to keep her or is he destined to lose her again?

This book is addictive. I couldn’t put it down. The story and characters have me hooked and left me desperate for more.

This book! I stayed up all night reading this and I regret nothing! I devoured this book. 

Anna has had an unbelievably hard life. Sold as a slave, Anna knows her place in life. She’s a whore through no choice of her own. She’s really just trying to survive enough to get through each day. She’s numb and broken but when she sees a chance to get away she takes it, not knowing that other plans for her have already been made. 

Rafael is a big bad cartel boss. He runs his empire with an iron fist and plays by his own rules. When a debt needs repaying, Rafe has little choice but to agree. I adored Rafael. Yes he’s a bad man who does bad things but he has a surprisingly sweet and caring side when he lets it out. It’s the little things he does that show you the real man behind the gangster and I loved every single bit of him. 

This book has a little of everything. It’s a little darker than your typical romance, Anna’s past is absolutely heartbreaking but it’s her inner strength that amazed me. She’s very easy to like and I couldn’t help but want her to make a new life for herself. 

With Rafes help Anna starts to learn more about herself and her past and has some tough decisions to make. I loved this book, I’m already dying for the next book to find out what’s going to happen to Anna and Rafe next.

“Tell me, sweet Anna, what would you do if you were to have your freedom?” My mind hits a wall, and my mouth snaps shut. “I don’t know.” “You never thought about it?” “I survived because I refused to hope. So no, I never thought about it.” He takes a piece of my hair, twirling it around his finger until the gold strands are wrapped tightly around his tanned skin. “Well, maybe you should start thinking about it.” “What if I don’t want to?” I breathe. "It's a simple question, really,” Preston says. “What would you do for a million dollars?" 

Tobias smirks. "Or better yet, what would you not do?" 

Preston glances at Tobias, then back at me. "Would you kill someone?" 

"No." 

Tobias laughs, spreading his arms wide. "Would you submit yourself then? Mind." He leans forward, locking eyes with me. "Body. Soul." 

I swallow. My heart hammers against my ribs. And I glance at the elevator, staring at the panel without buttons. “Submit…” I whisper, mentally acknowledging that I am trapped.

"Complete subservience." Preston says. 

"Like a slave?" My skin crawls when I utter that word. 

Tobias’s brow raises as he glances at Preston. "Slave rather implies doing something distasteful, doesn't it?" 

A slow smile pulls at Preston's lips before he looks at me. "It does. Slavery is to be debased and degraded. Submission is to be protected." His eyes skate slowly over my body. "Coveted. Revered. Cherished." 

These two men look like wolves, waiting, preying...and although my stomach is unsettled, the allure swarming around them is nearly undeniable. They are like the forbidden fruit. One bite may kill you, but how will you ever know until you taste it? 

"Trust me, sweetheart, you'll like it...for the most part." Preston winks. 

"I'm offering you one million dollars in exchange for one week of your time," Tobias says. 

"No amount of money is worth my dignity." I go to stand, although I don’t know where I’ll go, but Tobias grabs my wrist, subtly shaking his head. 

"Dignity?" he says, smirking. "And where exactly will your dignity be when you're living on the street?" My heart pounds unevenly in my chest. "We offer you a salvation not many are afforded. One million dollars for a mere seven days of your life." 

His hand is still wrapped tightly around my wrist. I can't breathe. I can't move. His eyes have me pinned in place. Slowly, I sit back down.

"Sweet Ella," Preston murmurs, standing up and walking behind me. He places his hand on my shoulder, the heat of his palm searing through me, "We know you have no money. No prospects. You're about to lose your apartment..."  

My heart sits in my throat in a pounding lump. I'm frozen with fear, and dare I say, curiosity.  

"You have no family, no one to fall back on," Tobias adds.  

"So tragic," Preston says, "what happened to your parents."  

I shake my head, unable to form words. How do they know this? How do they know these details about my life when I know nothing about them? "I..." I grip the arms of the chair so hard, I fear my knuckles may split.  

"No boyfriend. No job," Tobias says, inspecting the cuff of his jacket as though the entire notion of my pitiful existence bores him. "You've got nothing." His eyes flick to mine, imprisoning me in their green depths. "But you are very beautiful."

Day seven and the end of the game. I've got to admit I'm a little sad that this series has ended. I've loved every second of this intense, confusing ride. 

Ella finally gets to see if she's won or lost. Like the rest of the series this book is full of twists and ella starts to get the answers to her questions. Nothing is how it seems and I can honestly say at one point my complete shock and confusion mirrored Ella's. Tobias and Preston are their usual confusing, unpredictable selves and they've got to be one two of my favourite book men. 

A brilliantly twisted series that's hot, dark and will leave you wanting more.
