Release Blitz & Review...Wrong Prince Charming by Holly Renee

Release Date: July 15, 2019

Cover Design: Artist Regina Wamba

Photography: Perrywinkle Photography

Synopsis

Every little girl dreams of being swept off her feet by a charming Prince.

But my life was no fairy tale.

And in this kingdom called college, the rules went out the window.

I’d known golden boy, Theo Hunt, was the one for me since we were kids. My heart was his for the taking, but I had become nothing more than the MVP of the campus king’s friend-zone.

Easton Cole was a storm I couldn’t have predicted. He knocked me off my feet and stole my heart. But he was off limits. Not only was he was Theo’s frat brother, but he was the teacher’s assistant in English 101 and I was acing every test.

My heart was torn, my feelings tangled.

Because as soon as I noticed Easton, Theo finally noticed me.

I was in love with two guys, as different as night and day, but I could only have one.

I only hoped I didn’t choose The Wrong Prince Charming.

Maddy and Theo have been best friends for years and Maddy has had a secret crush on him for just as long. These two have been there for one another for years, so it’s only natural when Maddy follows Theo to college. Maddy knows if Theo knows her true feelings it could change things between them and just as she’s weighing up wether it’s worth the risk, Theo’s frat brother Easton makes quite the impression on her. The more time Maddy and Easton spend together, the more Maddy falls. Of course this is the time that Theo suddenly starts to pay more attention to her and she finds herself torn between two men. Who’s the man for her? The best friend that’s been there for her through thick and thin or the hot sexy frat guy who also happens to be her TA?

I’m a huge fan of this author, I’ve read all her books and went into The Wrong Prince Charming with high hopes based on the previous books of hers that I’ve read. I loved this book and I didn’t want this book to end.

Release Blitz & Review..Double Shot by Holly Renee

Release Date: March 20, 2019
Cover Design: Artist Regina Wamba
Photographer: Artist Regina Wamba
Model: Ripp Baker

Synopsis

How do you screw up your life in three steps? Easy.
π’ππžπ© 𝐨𝐧𝐞: Graduate from college with no prospective jobs lined up. π’ππžπ© 𝐭𝐰𝐨: Move back home with your parents because no job unfortunately equals no money. π’ππžπ© 𝐭𝐑𝐫𝐞𝐞: Forget to Facebook stalk the guy who broke your heart before accepting a job in a town that has a smaller population than a frat party on a Wednesday night. I could quit but living with my parents forever didn’t seem like a solid life plan. Jase Hale was the golden boy. Our boss thought he was beyond talented. The receptionist sent him more flirty smiles and baked goods than was considered normal for a woman old enough to be his mom. I tried to avoid him and his undeniable charm at all costs. He did everything he could to get under my skin. Every encounter left me reeling. Every smirk made my stomach flip. I assumed he was playing with me, just pushing my buttons like always, but when he lifted me onto my desk and shut me up with his lips on mine, I was more confused than ever. It didn’t matter that he was trying to prove me wrong. Having my heart broken by the same jerk twice in one lifetime wasn’t an option. He only got one shot with me and he sure as hell didn’t order a double.

After reading Bottoms Up I couldn’t wait for Jase and Sophie’s book and it definitely didn’t disappoint.

Sophie and Jase have a history. As Sophie’s brother Tucker’s best friend, they’ve obviously grown up around each other but one night changed all that and they’ve spent the following years trying to hate each other. Thrown back together when Sophie goes for a job at Jases company, the sexual chemistry between these two just gets hotter and hotter the more time they spend together.

Both main characters are easy to like and it’s easy to see these two are perfect for each other. They have a genuine connection, the banter between them is fantastic, flirty and funny, and I loved every single word of their story. Another great book from Holly Renee.

Release Blitz & Review...Where Bad Boys Are Ruined by Holly Renee

Release Date: December 5, 2018
Cover Design: Artist Regina Wamba

Synopsis

I ate leftover cupcakes and cracked macarons for breakfast.
I was ninety percent sure he simply ate up girls like me. I was covered in paint splatters, cake batter, and sweat the first time I met him. He was covered in badass tattoos and a smile that seemed to hold a secret I would never figure out. Rule number 1 was never, under any circumstances, fall for the man who I wrote my lease check to. So, I tucked him away in the “Fantasize Only” compartment of my brain and called it a day. But he didn’t make it easy. He was arrogant, funny, and the biggest flirt I had ever met. Most of the time, I didn’t know if I was just a game to him. If I didn’t know better, I’d say he was on a mission to ruin my life. And maybe my heart, too.

This is the third book in the Good Girls series but it can be read as a stand-alone.

Charlie has always wanted to open a bakery and finally her dreams are coming true. She’s hard working, determined and can’t believe her luck when she finds the perfect little shop....which just so happens to be owned by the hot men that also run the tattoo shop next door. I loved Charlie. She’s quirky and a little awkward. She’s extremely easy to like.

Brandon isn’t quite sure what to make of the awkward baker who’s renting from him. They have a spark between them but Brandon doesn’t do relationships and shy Charlie doesn’t seem the sort to like one night stands which leaves Brandon out of his depth and acting like an ass at times.

Where Bad Boys Are Ruined is a sweet, funny, sexy read with a brilliant female lead and a hot man that will annoy you at times but I guarantee he’ll win you over by the time you finish this book. Another great book in a fantastic series.

Excerpt

“How do you know this guy you are going on a date with tonight?” She had her curly red hair piled on top of her head in a bun that matched mine, and if it weren’t for the small laugh lines around her mouth, she would look like my twin.
“I don’t know him at all.” I picked up another box and set it on the counter.
“The two girls I was telling you about that work next door set me up.” I groaned, and I didn’t miss her smile.
“It’s good for you. You need to get out and date and...”
“Do not say it.” I cut her off.
“Have me some little red-headed grandbabies.” She put her hand over her heart and swooned.
“You are ridiculous.” I rolled my eyes at her but couldn’t help smiling at her theatrics.
My mom was the best mom ever. Not just because she made sure I never wanted for anything and disciplined me in a way that made sure I didn’t turn into a spoiled brat, but she was also the best friend I had ever had.
“First of all, we’re going on a group date.”
She raised her eyebrows in shock, and I laughed.
“The guy just knows that there is someone they want him to meet. There is absolutely no pressure on either of us. He doesn’t have to nine-one-one call a friend or anything to get out of it.”
“And you call me ridiculous.” She turned fully toward me and put her hands on her hip. “If a man didn’t want to date you, he’s an idiot.”
“You have to say that. Mom guilt.”
“Not true.” She picked up another box and started going through it. “I’d tell you if you weren’t datable. First of all, you’re gorgeous. Thank God for your mama.” She winked at me, and I let out a small laugh. “Second, you’re smart and have a great sense of humor. I’ll give a bit of credit to your daddy for that.”
“So, because I’m like the two of you, I’m perfect?” I asked sarcastically, but she didn’t care.
“Exactly. I didn’t just get with your dad because he’s so hot.” She wagged her eyebrows, and I tried to swallow down my nausea.
“Really, mom?”
“Knock, knock.”
I swung toward the door that separated the kitchen from the front of the bakery as soon as Brandon’s voice sounded through the space then I pointed to my mom.
“Stay here.” I sounded panicked. “Do not come out.”
My mom’s eyebrows shot up, but I did not give her a chance to ask questions.
I quickly walked through the door and made sure to force it closed behind me. There was no way in hell I was letting my mother come out and embarrass me in front of Brandon.
“Hey.” I pushed my stray curls out of my face. “What are you doing here?”
He leaned down and rested his elbows against the counter.
“I just wanted to stop in and see how everything is going.”
“It’s going.”
The door behind me moved just the tiniest bit, and I knew that my mom currently had her ear pressed against it.
“The place is looking great.” He didn’t take his eyes off me as he spoke. “It looks nothing like it did before you moved in.”
“Thank you. I’ve been envisioning what this place would look like for a long time now, so I had some ideas.” I laughed.
I didn’t know why I felt so nervous to talk to him about the bakery, but in all fairness, I felt nervous to talk to him at all.
The door behind me moved again. This time too hard for me to play it off as a mouse or a rouge cupcake that may have fell off the counter. I closed my eyes and sent up a silent prayer as my mom walked out.
“Hi there.” My mom waved to Brandon as she made her way toward him. “You must be David.” She stuck her hand out toward him, and I fought the urge to jump between them and shew my mother back into the kitchen.
He slid his tattooed hand into my mother’s and looked over at me with mischief in his eyes. “David?”
“Mom, this is Brandon.” I quickly avoided his question. “He owns this place.”
“Oh.” My mom giggled like ‘Oh, how silly of me to assume this hot as hell man was the guy my daughter was going on a date/non-date with tonight.’ “Well aren’t you handsome.”
“Thank you.” He grinned up at her, and I could have sworn I saw my mom swoon. “That means a lot coming from a beautiful woman like yourself.”
My mom swatted at his hand, and I inwardly groaned. The man I had been fantasizing about since the moment I met him just complemented my mom, and I was just a teeny tiny bit jealous. Or a lot. Whatever.
“Are you single, Brandon?”
“Mom don’t be rude. That’s none of your business.”
“It’s okay.” Brandon stood up to his full height. “I am.”
“That’s shocking.” She started to take him in again, and I tried to distract Brandon away from her before she could embarrass me more.
“Are y’all having a busy day at the shop today?”
Brandon’s laughing gaze slid back to me. “Yea. It’s always busy over there.”
“Good. You can send them over here to satisfy their sweet tooth once Charlie gets this place open.”
Brandon’s gaze ran over me, and I fiddled with a stray string on my jeans to stop myself from squirming under his gaze. “Absolutely.”
“Are you going on the group date tonight?” My mom turned and picked up a box out of the floor like she didn’t just make me sound like the biggest loser ever.
“What?” He looked genuinely confused before his eyes lit up. “Oh shit. That David? That’s why we’re all going out tonight?” He looked down at his hands and frowned.
“It wasn’t my idea.” I quickly answered him. “I don’t even know him. Livy and Staci thought it would be a good idea if everyone went so there wasn’t so much pressure. It’s not even a date. Everyone is just hanging out.”
I. Was. Such. A. Loser.
He looked back up at me as if he was looking for something. “I’ll be there tonight.”
“Cool.” I tucked a piece of hair behind my ear and tried to avoid looking at my mom who was grinning from ear to ear.
“Well, it was nice to meet you,” Brandon said to my mother. “I better head back to work so I have plenty of time to get ready for our group date tonight.” He winked at me, and I wanted to die.
“You too.” My mom grinned at him. “Hopefully, I’ll be seeing more of you around.”
Brandon chuckled then made his way to the door. “See you later, Freckles.”
“Bye,” I barely managed to squeak out before I turned my death glare to my mother.
“Forget David.” She fanned herself. “I would be trying to date that one.”
“Mom,” I said frustrated, but I couldn’t admit that she was wrong.
She opened the door to head back into the kitchen. “What? I always did have a thing for bad boys. You should have seen your dad back in the day.”

Staci is a tattoo artist who works for Parker. We met Parker in Where Good Girls Go To Die which is his and, Staci’s best friend, Liv’s story. Staci is sassy, independent, swears like a sailor and doesn’t do commitment (I LOVED her). Having been hurt in the past, she prefers the no strings type of agreement she has with one of her regular hook ups were both parties know the rules. When she sends a naughty pic to who she thinks is her regular guy she has no idea that she’s mistakenly sent it to Mason, who just so happens to be Parker’s best friend and Livs brother. I loved Staci.

Mason is a man whore. He knows it, his friends know it, everyone knows Mason Connor is a player. When an unexpected sexy picture of his sisters best friend lands on his phone, Mason can’t resist needling Staci when she realises what she’s done. What starts off as a bit of banter soon turns into more when Mason realises he can’t get her out of his head. Staci isn’t going to be won over quite as easily though. With her last relationship leaving it’s mark on her and the secrets she’s keeping, she struggles to keep Mason at arms length.

I loved this book. I adore Staci and Mason is just yummy. The other characters are great too and the story kept me hooked from start to finish. Can’t wait for more from this series.

“Oh, fuck.” Oh, God. “What were we thinking?” This was crazy. I paced around my wrecked room and gripped my hair in my hands. “Calm down.” His voice was gruff as he buttoned his jeans, and I was momentarily distracted by the muscles that disappeared into those jeans like a map. I was in so much trouble. “Calm down? Calm down? I just fucked my best friend’s brother. How am I supposed to calm down?” He just smirked at me, and even though the damn curve of his lips made my thighs tighten involuntarily, I wanted to kill him for how calm he was. “You have to get out of here before everyone sees you.” I looked up at the little clock on the wall and cringed. How in the hell had we managed to spend the entire night together when it had only felt like minutes? “Your sister and Parker will be here in an hour.” He pulled his t-shirt down over his shoulders, and I winced when I saw his tattoo. I hadn’t cleaned it. I hadn’t wrapped it. Instead, I just got on top of him and rode him like I had lost my damn mind. “Hold on.” I slid gloves onto my hands before grabbing more supplies out of my drawers. He let me lift his shirt, and he only winced slightly when I squirted the cold solution against his skin. He watched me intently as I covered his tattoo and pressed the tape against his skin. “Here are the care instructions for your tattoo.” I handed him a little card that had all the instructions. “Make sure that you…” “I’ll leave on one condition.” My eyes jerked up to his. “What condition?” “Kiss me.” God, I watched his lips as he said the words, and there was nothing in the world that I wanted to do more. But that was why this wasn’t a good idea. He had to know. He had to see the damn line we were crossing. “This isn’t a good idea, Mason.” “I think it’s a little late for that. Don’t you think?” I shook my head so I would stop staring at his mouth. A mouth that was surrounded by his scruffy beard. A mouth that I had no business looking at and sure as hell had no business kissing. “I don’t date.” “Great.” He pulled his boots onto his feet, and I realized I was still standing there in my bra. “Neither do I.” His grin was so intoxicating that I knew I would easily become lost in it if I wasn’t careful. I pulled my shirt over my head and stepped into my jeans. My panties were nowhere to be seen. “I’m not going to be your fuck buddy.” He watched me as he leaned against the wall. “Fine. Then we can just be buddies.” “Buddies.” I rolled my eyes as I slipped my feet into my shoes. “Yea. You know? Friends.” His eyes were twinkling, and even though I knew how bad of an idea this was, my blood heated at the mischief that sparked in his eyes. “Friends sure as hell don’t kiss each other.” “You’re right.” He nodded his head slowly. “Just give me one last kiss then we shall enter the friend zone that is impossible to escape.” I took a tentative step toward him and his grin only widened. “One more kiss.” He watched every step that brought me closer to him. “That’s all I’m asking.” “Then this little game that we’ve been playing is over.” “Done.” He reached his hands out and gripped mine as he jerked my body roughly into his. My core tightened and he knew. He knew exactly what he was doing to me. He dipped his head low, and he ran his nose along the skin of my neck. Chill bumps broke out across my skin. His bottom lip touched the edge of my ear lobe, and I bit down on my own lip because I refused to give him even one more whimper. “I won. You know?” His teeth bit down on my ear lobe. “You ass.” I pushed my hands against his chest to get away from him, but he wasn’t having any of it. Instead, his fingers slid to my jaw, tipping my face back so I had no choice but to look up at him. His smirk was gone from his face as he stared down at me. As he looked over every inch of my face like he was trying to memorize this moment, memorize me. He pressed his thumb against my bottom lip dragging it down as he watched the movement then his mouth devoured mine. It didn’t matter that it was a goodbye kiss. That it was our last kiss. It somehow fueled me more than any kiss that we had shared all night. Somehow it tore into every part of me. Every part of me screamed to not let him leave. But I knew that none of that was logical. I wasn’t this girl. I wasn’t the hopeless romantic who got butterflies from a one night stand. But as soon as I thought the words, my chest ached. I had plenty of one night stands in my life. This didn’t feel like that. Even if it was completely foolish to think it, this felt like something more. He gripped my hair in his hand and pushed my head back so I was completely open to him as he devoured my mouth. And when he pulled away, I instantly felt this loss. I wasn’t even sure who I was as I lifted my fingers to my mouth and ran them over the tingle that still lingered there.
He looked as completely dazed as I did. Lost in whatever the fuck this was.
