Review of Survival (Twisted #1)

BOOK TITLE: Survival
AUTHOR: Rebecca Sherwin
RELEASE DATE: January 5th 2015

☆☆☆☆☆ FIVE STARS

Urghh this book. Talk about rip your heart out. I can't remember the last time I felt so sorry for a female character. Skye's life starts to go out of control when her dad ups and leaves, leaving her with an alcoholic mum who couldn't care less about anyone but herself and Skye's brother Oliver. Together Skye and Oliver try to stick to their plan of getting away from their present lives. Then one night Oliver's friend Curtis takes her somewhere and the following events will change her and her life forever.

Spanning over ten years, you really get an insight into how events from her past are affecting her present. After moving away, she finally meets someone who gets her and things seem to be going well. She's finally making progress. She's in a stable, loving relationship, she's excelling in her professional life and she's happy. Until one night a face from her past appears, sending her into a complete tailspin.
I can not wait to read the next book in this series. I need to know how Skye is coping and I need more Curtis. I just need more everything.
