This is not the kind of book I usually go for. I’m not a huge fan of books set in any other world/time but my own, it’s well out of my comfort zone. So why read this book when chances are it’s not going to be for me? Well, I’m a huge fan of Ella Fields, I’ve read all her other books and she’s never let me down yet so why not take a chance? I’m so glad I did. I can’t remember the last time I stayed up reading until 5am. This book was exactly what I needed right now. I completely lost myself in the story. This has everything in it that I love about Ms Fields books with the added bonus of been something completely different to what I usually read. Audra is the dogs bollocks. She’s one of my all time favourite heroines, she kicks ass and I loved everything about her. Honestly I never expected to like this book never mind love it but I did. It’s such a whirlwind read, a proper adventure that somehow sucked me in. I really didn’t want this book to end, everything about this story and the characters had me completely engrossed, and I really hope this isn’t the last I read of this world Ms Fields has created.

I’d already met Blaze and Kat in Kisses and Lies and I was desperate for more from them so when I found out Blaze was getting a book? Excitement overload.

I wasn’t quite sure what to make of Kat at first. What was it she wanted? After a couple of chapters I didn’t even care what she wanted. She’s awesome. She’s feisty and the way she has Blaze blowing hot and cold, not knowing if he wants to kiss her or kill her....I live for those feelings.

I really enjoyed this book. I didn’t put it down once and I’m already planning on rereading. Definitely recommend picking up a copy of this!

I have always loved to read. In kindergarten, I was the weird kid sitting in the reading nook by myself instead of trying to get more snacks. I’m excited to be putting my own voice on the page and watching a story I helped create come to life. I still love to read, but I also really like snacks.
I grew up in Chicago but recently moved back to the Dallas area where I live with my husband and son.
I have my Bachelor of Science in Biology. I spent a year researching chimpanzees and gorillas while I was in Chicago and then I spent another two months on a chimpanzee sanctuary trying to convince headstrong chimps to cooperate. Pro tip - grapes are a pretty hot bargaining tool. They work wonders with my toddler too.

If you’re looking for a fun sports romance this is the one you’re looking for! I loved this book.


Oakley is a popular football player who’s a bit of a mess. Partying, half naked photos, constantly surrounded by women, he’s not as focused as he should be which leads us to Amanda. Amanda, bless her heart, gets stuck babysitting Oakley when she’s given him and his image as her assignment. I loved Amanda. She’s really easy to like and really funny. The banter between her and Oakley only made me love her more.

This is a really enjoyable read. The characters, the chemistry, the banter are all well done and I definitely recommend this book.
