Somethings
are best left alone.
I know
this. I should stand by it.
That would
be the safest option for me.
But, well,
I just can’t do that.
Because the
thing I should leave alone…is everything.
It is the
reason I breathe.
It is the
reason I keep putting one foot in front of the other.
I need
help. I know it, but nobody wants to step up and give that to me.
The case is
too hard.
There is
nothing they can do.
And then I
meet them. Bikers. The Knight Brothers.
They can
give me the help I need. They have the resources.
But there
is one problem that lies amongst all of this.
Lincoln
Knight.
I
can’t stand him.
I loathe
him.
I despise
him.
And yet,
he’s determined to help me.
He won’t
take no for an answer.
And if I’m
being honest…I need him.
But working
with him, spending time with him, it’s the last thing I want to do.
But…I have
no choice.
And I know
it.
This most
definitely won’t end well.

Knights Rising is the first book in Bella Jewels Rumblin’ Knights series and I’ve been impatiently waiting for Lincoln’s story since meeting the Knight brothers in the Iron Fury series.
I honestly expected to love Lincoln but that wasn’t exactly the case. Lincoln is not a man that’s easy to like. There were times I wanted to reach into my kindle and slap some sense into him. He really rubbed me up the wrong way at times. He’s one of those annoying men that act like a dick one minute and then do something nice.
Shania needs help with a difficult situation and asks the MC for their help. Having already met Lincoln the last thing Shania needs is for the guy she hates with a passion to be the one that’s most determined to step up and help her.
I swung back and forth with both main characters throughout this book. I liked them, they annoyed me, Shania and her secret keeping drive me full on nuts. There were times I was shouting at my kindle to just tell us already! These two definitely have a hate/love/hate relationship and even though they both did things I didn’t agree with, I couldn’t help hoping things would work out for them.
I really enjoyed Lincoln’s story and can’t wait for the other brothers stories to see if I end up loving them as much as I do Lincoln.
