Heartfelt, beautiful and sexy!"

- Lauren Blakely, #1 New York Times bestselling author

Only Love, an all-new sexy standalone romance from USA Today bestselling author Melanie Harlow is available now!

Only Love AMAZON
A gorgeous former Marine with a tortured soul.
The beautiful, compassionate therapist living next door.
A meddlesome grandma determined to get them together.
I was expecting a proposal on my birthday, and I got dumped instead.
How could I have been so clueless?
Grams knew exactly how to distract me.
The “cute boy next door” who’s been helping her with yard work clearly needs a little therapy. Who better to call than her newly single therapist granddaughter?
She even fakes dementia to get me to visit, and now that I’m here she’s doing everything in her power to throw us together.
Not that I’m complaining. Ryan is the sexiest man I’ve ever met--I mean the full package, from the chiseled jaw to the massive shoulders to the rippling abs. (And yes, his package is full, and he knows exactly how to deliver it.) He makes me want to get out of my head and follow my heart. He makes me want to take chances I never thought I’d take.
He also makes me want to take my clothes off. A lot.
But he’s moody and challenging--one minute he’s an open book, and the next he’s completely closed off. He holds me like he’ll never let go, but insists he wants to be alone.
Some wounds are so deep, only love can heal them.
How can I convince him to let me try?

Excerpt: “Ryan?” Startled, I turned around to find Stella standing a few feet away on the grass, wearing a T-shirt and pajama pants, arms crossed over her chest. Her feet were bare, and her hair was loose around her shoulders and a little messy, like she’d already been asleep. Thinking about her in bed did things to my insides. “Hey. Did I wake you?” “I was awake. My windows are open, and I heard something and thought I saw you through the window. What are you doing?” “Uh, building you a swing. But it was supposed to be a surprise.” Now that she’d caught me at it, I was kind of embarrassed. What if she thought this was stupid? “You built me a swing?” She came a little closer, and I realized she might not be able to see it in the dark. The moon was only a sliver tonight. “Yeah.” I grabbed one of the ropes. “Right here.” She stared at it. “Why?” “I’m not entirely sure.” Her eyes met mine, and my heart pumped harder. “Want to try it?” I asked. “Like right now?” I moved behind it and held both ropes steady. “Come sit.” She hesitated, and I thought maybe she was going to tell me to quit being weird and go home before she called the cops, but after a few silent seconds, she came toward me. Turned around. Lowered herself to the seat and closed her fingers around the ropes. “Well?” I asked. “How does it feel? Like you’re a kid again?” “This was very kind of you, but not necessary.” Her tone was stiffer than her posture. “Stella.” She didn’t answer. “I’m sorry.” “About what?” “Last night.” “You’re sorry about what we did?” “I think I’m more sorry about what we didn’t do.” Her head turned sharply, and she looked at me over one shoulder. “You sure know how to confuse a girl.” “One of my many talents.” She looked straight ahead again. “Tell me about some other ones. And give me a push.” I smiled, even though she couldn’t see it, and gave her a little nudge. “I’m fast.” “Oh really?” “Yeah.” I gave her a little harder push. “Track team in high school?” “Tried. Didn’t take.” “Why not?” “They expected me to show up for practice.” “Ah.” She straightened her legs and leaned back in the swing, her hair dangling behind her. “Tell me another one.” I gave her another push. “I’m good with my hands.” Her laugh floated back to me. “I have observed this about you already. Give me another one.” I pushed her again, just so I could feel her hair brush against my hands. “I’m not afraid of anything.” “No? Nothing?” “Nothing I can think of.” “Hmm.” “Are you analyzing me now?” “Kind of. I mean, you can’t say something like that to a therapist and expect her not to reflect on it a little bit, right?” “And?” “And what?” “Do you think I’m a liar or a fool?” “Neither,” she answered. “I think you mean what you say. I think you only lie when you have to, and even then, you hate it. And if I dug a little deeper—which I won’t, because my sisters have told me it’s annoying and intrusive—I think I might discover that it’s because above all, you value your honor. Your word.” For a moment, I was too stunned to think or move or speak. Then I said, “I take it back.” “Take what back?” “What I said. That I’m not afraid of anything.” “Oh? And what are you afraid of?” She swung back toward me and I caught her around the waist. Put my lips to her ear. “Your ability to read my mind.” Beneath my arms I could feel her chest expand and contract faster. “I’m sorry, Ryan. I know I shouldn’t say those—” “Come home with me,” I said, my voice raw with something like thirst. I pressed my lips to her throat and breathed in her scent. I let one hand move toward her breast. I waited for an elbow to the ribcage, a cry for help, a slap across the face. Because if she could read my mind right now, she’d know exactly what I wanted to do to her—and it was a long, detailed list. “Yes,” she whispered. “Yes.”

Apparently this is part of a series (I really need to start paying more attention) although it definitely can be read as a stand-alone. I didn’t feel like I’d missed out on anything by not reading the previous books.

Stella thought her boyfriend was going to propose to her on her birthday. Instead he dumped her. Shocked and hurt, she wants to lick her wounds but her grandmother has other ideas. I adored Stella grandmother. She is prepared to do whatever she has to do get what she wants and has no qualms at all about using the old and ill card. Guilting Stella into coming for a visit is the first step of grams’ plan and when it works and Stella sees Grams’ sexy neighbour, the therapist in Stella can see the pain and turmoil that Ryan is suffering.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved both main characters and the story had me engrossed. Both characters are dealing with their own issues, Ryan’s ability to turn off his feelings as a coping mechanism from his time in the military broke my heart and I couldn’t help but sympathise with Stella. She’s got her own insecurities to deal with and she knows she’s going to have to work on them if she wants to find her own hea.

Only Love is a great story and I can’t wait for more from this author.

A Gentleman for Christmas, an all-new standalone contemporary romance by Prescott Lane.
Some say “chivalry is dead.”
I don’t think so. Most women I know like a gentleman.
Protective, opens doors, treats women with respect, typically follows the rules.
But a gentleman doesn’t fall for his best friend’s woman. Current or ex.
And that’s what I’ve done.
During the Christmas season of all times — that magical time for decorations, gifts, family . . .
Yes, the girl who was off-limits for so long, who I’ve loved all my life, has come back in town and possibly back to me.
I can’t follow the gentleman rules this time. There’s too much at stake. I let her go once. I won’t let her go again.
What happens under the mistletoe, stays under the mistletoe.
Or does it?

Excerpt:
“Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife.”
Otherwise known as the original bros before hoes commandment.
I’m not advocating calling women hoes. It’s an expression, so put away your Encyclopedia of Political Correctness.
There are rules in life. The Ten Commandments were just the beginning. We have rules for everything. How to drive. How to dress. How to walk across the damn street. So why not rules for love? That’s how all this started — a set of rules between my buddies and me.
The Bro Code.
Obviously, bros before hoes is rule one. We vowed never to let a girl come between us, which meant if one of us liked a girl, she was forever off limits.
Little did I know our teenage pact would launch my multi-million dollar career. A little tweaking here and some socially acceptable rewording there and The Gentleman’s Handbook was born.
I’ve written books and given seminars on everything from how to find love, to how to propose, to how to have a successful long-distance relationship. You name it, and I’ve got rules for it. Personally, I’ve never been much of a rule follower, but that’s my little secret.
The funny thing is I’ve never been in love. Well, there is this one girl, but we won’t talk about her. It does no good to think about someone you can’t have and never will.
My lack of emotional commitment hasn’t slowed down my career one bit. Currently, I have two books on the New York Times Best Sellers List. My seminars sell out like a Drake concert.
I always find it interesting that the rules started between a group of male friends, but it’s mostly women that come to hear me speak. Occasionally, you see the poor sap boyfriend who was dragged along to listen, but for the most part it’s all women.
This time of the year is no exception. December first until January first is important for guys. Holidays are big for a lot of couples. If you don’t know what you’re doing for your lady, you better figure it out and fast. In fact, my rule is that you should be paying attention all year long.
Trust me on this. If you remember something she mentioned she liked three months ago and surprise her with it at Christmas, she’ll spread her legs before Santa even has time to slide down the chimney. Let’s be honest, that is always at least part of the goal for guys.
So my current work in progress tackles Christmas. A how-to guide for the holidays.
The Gentleman’s Rules for Christmas.

Prescott Lane is quickly becoming one of my must read authors and this is another one of her books that I struggled to put down.

I’m not usually one to go for the gentleman in my books. I can’t get enough of a flawed bad boy but Jax has 100% converted me. Good looking, extremely successful and a true gentleman...Jax has got it all going on. So much so that he’s turned the art of been a gentleman in to a successful business. When his best friends ex returns to town for Christmas Jax is faced with a dilemma. Does he stick to the gentleman’s rules and stay away from the woman he’s loved for years? Or is it time for him to break the rules and take a risk by confessing his true feelings? I really felt for Jax. He so badly wants to do the right thing when it comes to his friendships but he also wants to do the right thing for himself and his future and I don’t envy the choice he has to make.

Skylar is fresh out of a relationship and wants to spend Christmas with her friends while she works on her battered heart and tries to figure out what she’s going to do now. When her friends family come down ill, Skylar has no choice but to stay with Jax. Skylar is oblivious to Jax’s feelings towards her, he hurt her years ago and she’s had no reason to think his feelings have changed. Now with them both single and thrown into living in the same house it’s only a matter of time until their old feelings reappear.

I loved this book. The banter and chemistry are perfect and even though the story should probably have left me feeling a little more conflicted, I was completely on Jax’s side to win the girl and was 100% rooting for him and Skylar. A prefect book to read especially around Christmas time.

Release Blitz & Review...Sex Material by Ashley Victoria

Title: Sex Material
Author: Victoria Ashley
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: November 26, 2018

Blurb

Sex Material
It’s what I’m known around town for.
A rock-hard body, covered in tattoos with a sizeable bulge that women spend their nights fantasizing about.
Women track me down, needing someone that will fuck them rough without holding back.
They find me because they need a distraction from reality. They need something to get their mind off of the boyfriend who screwed them over or the job promotion they got passed over on at work.
Sometimes it’s just because they need someone reckless in the bedroom before settling down with the right one.
‘Cause I’m sure as hell not that guy.
Nowhere close.
I’m not the suit wearing, flower-buying guy you take home to meet the parents. I’m not the guy who will make you feel all warm and fucking fuzzy inside.
Not anymore.
I was boyfriend material once. Would’ve even made a good husband. That was before everything good in my world got ripped away, leaving me broken beyond repair.
These women come to me because they need an escape to cope with the real world, but none of them know I need it more than them. I need something to make me feel alive. Something to get my heart beating again.
Then Cami shows up in my hometown, broken-hearted and pissed off at the world, needing an escape from her cheating ex.
She’s the only one that doesn’t want to use my body. In fact, she wants nothing to do with it and has no problems telling me so.
She’s interested in one thing only from me—to move into my rental property. But the problem with that is the more we fight, the deeper she buries herself in my soul.
Sex material is what I’m good at, but for the first time, it may not be enough.

Excerpt

When I look up Cami is standing barefoot in a little white summer dress with her long blonde hair pulled up into a lose bun.
The sight of her sun-kissed skin and long legs has my dick instantly hardening beneath my jeans, and the moment my gaze moves up to her scowling lips, it manages to harden even more.
“Is this even a real application?” She holds the paper up and points at one of the extra questions I added before printing it. “How many times a week did Douglas make you come? Really?"
“It’s definitely a real application.” I stand, wiping my hands down my jeans. “Did you answer every question?”
She shakes her head and lets out a sarcastic laugh. “Did I… did I answer every question? Of course I didn’t, because there’s at least three that are irrelevant to me living here. You’re insane if you think I’m going to give you that kind of information.”
Shaking my head in disappointment, I move toward Cami, stopping once I’m standing right in front of her. “Then you didn’t listen.” I point out. “I told you to complete the application and bring it back to me within a few hours, and here you are four fucking hours later standing in my kitchen with an incomplete form.”
She swallows nervously, her gaze roaming over my half-naked body as I take another step closer to her, my arms now on either side of her waist, her back against the counter. “Now answer the fucking question, Cami.”
“Who said he made me come weekly?” she questions stiffly. “Maybe I can’t answer that question.”
“What a shame,” I say against her neck, before moving my lips up it, stopping just beneath her ear. “Want to know how many times a week I would make you come?” When she doesn’t say anything, I lick my lips and continue. “Fourteen.”
“You do realize there’s only seven days in a week, right?” Her voice is weak, and I can’t help but hope it’s from my body being so close.
“Exactly,” I whisper in her ear. “But that’s just the number of times I would, not the number that I could.”
“You’re full of it.” She places her hands on my chest, causing me to take a slight step back.
“Am I?” I grip her waist with both hands. “I could prove right now that I’m not.”

Jenson, owner of Blake rentals, is known around town as been the guy you go to when you want to forget, the guy who will rock your world for one night and has no intentions of ever getting in a relationship. With a steady supply of women on tap and an aversion towards commitment, its working well for him....Until Cami turns up.

Cami has just gotten out of a relationship and the last thing she wants to be doing is jumping into bed with the guy she’s hoping to rent from. Even though he is insanely hot and attractive, his first impression leaves a lot to be desired. She could possibly be the only woman that isn’t interested in using Jenson for his body and skills in the bedroom. Her would be landlord is an asshole and the two of them together is a recipe for disaster if their first interactions are anything to go by. Jenson seems to go out of his way to rub Cami up the wrong way which I loved because the back and forth just adds to the chemistry that’s between them.

One thing you can guarantee when reading a Victoria Ashley book is that the chemistry between the characters will be off the charts and Sex Material was no different. There’s so much sexual tension in this book I was begging Cami and Jenson to just give in to it already. The constant back and forth between Cami and Jenson adds a love/hate feel to it which I love in a book.
