Blurb:
The first time I met Ian Kemp in the sparkling blue waters of St. Thomas, I was six years old and we shared a summer beneath the stars.

The second time I met Ian Kemp, he was a shell of the boy I once knew. Turbulent and infuriating, he refused my friendship at every turn. Like me, he was a casualty of life’s cruelty, but we were planets apart.

We’d both sought refuge on the island, hoping to find our anchor. Instead, we found each other and managed to reclaim our stars...until we both got swept away.

About the Author:

A Texas native, Kate Stewart lives in North Carolina with her husband, Nick, and her naughty beagle, Sadie. She pens messy, sexy, angst-filled contemporary romance as well as romantic comedy and erotic suspense because it's what she loves as a reader. Kate is a lover of all things '80s and '90s, especially John Hughes films and rap. She dabbles a little in photography, can knit a simple stitch scarf for necessity, and on occasion, does very well at whiskey.

I’m a fairly new reader of Kate Stewart’s so I wasn’t quite sure what I was in for with Someone Else’s Ocean. I certainly didn’t expect for it to suck me in like it did. I don’t think I moved once from start to finish.

The star of this book for me was Koti. I’m normally all about the male leads in books but not this one. Koti is... Koti is amazing. She has her own issues which a lot of readers will relate to but it’s her way of dealing with them and just her general attitude and outlook that I loved.

This kind of story is exactly what I look for in a romance. The characters became like real people the more I got to know them. They’re not perfect, they’re struggling, everything is not going the way they thought it would and that makes it so much easier to connect with them as characters. The connection they share, the push and pull between them and of course the chemistry were everything I was hoping they’d be. Even the scenery is written in such a way that I found it so very easy to picture everything about the island. At times it felt like I was actually there.

This is a beautifully written romance that I couldn’t put down. It’s got the perfect balance of sexiness, angst, humour and some truly fantastic characters that will soon make you love them. I can’t recommend this book enough.
