Manic Monday is the first book in Piper Raynes new Charity Case series and having read all of this duos previous work I can honestly say this is my favourite from them to date.
Single mum Victoria gives up her job with Jared (from Chore Play) and moves back to Chicago to look after her mum after she’s recently been diagnosed with MS. You’ve got to hand it to Victoria. She’s kicking ass on the whole single mum thing while trying to settle down both at home and with her new job while trying to be here for her mum to lean on (although sometimes that’s the other way around). On the school run one Monday she can’t believe her eyes when she spots Reed Warner. He’s even hotter than he was when they were younger but he’s also an attorney which is a big no no for Victoria. Reed is determined though and slowly sets about breaking down Victoria’s defences. I loved Reed. Seriously this guy is the bestest most perfect man ever. He’s sexy, sweet and just a genuinely nice guy.
I thoroughly enjoyed Victoria and Reeds story and I’m really looking forward to more from the Charity Case series.
