I went into this book expecting something completely different to what I got and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The relationship between Prince Sebastian and guard Penny/Len is one of those slow burn, easy to lose yourself in stories that I love. Sebastian is nothing like I thought he’d be. There’s a lot he’s hiding and some misconceptions flying around about him but I loved the real Sebastian.
Guard Penny is another great character. She’s clumsy but surprisingly good at getting closer to the Prince. Building a friendship while trying to stay professional has Penny fighting a losing battle. The more she learns about the Prince the more she likes him. Of course she knows it could never work between them, between her secrets and him been a Prince, but Sebastian has other ideas.
This is book one in the Royals Undercover series and it’s off to a great start. I can’t wait to see what happens with Penny and Sebastian when their secrets come out and see what the future has in store for the Prince and his guard.
