Blog Tour & Review...One Too Many by Jade West

Title: One Too Many
Author: Jade West
Genre: Contemporary Romance

From USA Today Bestselling Author, Jade West

A filthy proposition.

Too much money to say no.
One dirty night in a stranger's bed.

While my husband watches.

A full length contemporary romance novel.

Jade has increasingly little to say about herself as time goes on, other than the fact she is an author, but she’s plenty happy with this. Living in imaginary realities and having a legitimate excuse for it is really all she’s ever wanted. Jade is as dirty as you’d expect from her novels, and talking smut makes her smile. She lives in the Powys countryside with a couple of hounds and a guy who’s able to cope with her inherent weirdness. She has a zebra print living room, and fights a constant battle with her addiction to Coca-Cola.

Wow what a book! I’ve been dying to read this book since I first saw it mentioned. Jade West is one of my favourite authors and after seeing the teasers, I was more than intrigued where this story was going to go.

This book was both exactly what I was expecting and at the same time more than I was expecting. I was already getting an Indecent Proposal vibe from the teasers alone and I was expecting a hot and dirty read. Someone offers cash to spend a night with your wife...you know it’s gonna get filthy. What I wasn’t expecting was the emotional punches to the gut this book gave me. The characters are so very easy to fall in love with. Brett and Grace have a love that’s rare and they’re very easy to understand and relate to. Tom, on the other hand, is a completely different subject. I struggled so much with his complex character, although he did win me over in a big way by the end. While I wanted to love him, I found myself having to walk away from my kindle to calm myself down. I can’t remember the last book that left me in a constant state of conflicted confusion. I didn’t know if I wanted to punch someone or f**k someone while reading One Too Many.

This book is Jade West at her absolute best. She took me on an emotional journey that’s left me desperate for more from all these characters.
