One night.
That’s all Julian Caine offered.
And heartbreak is my only souvenir.
The morning
after the most unforgettable night of
my life, I wake up minus the man and plus one note.
With my
head held high, I’m determined to move on without the two men who broke my
heart.
My former
fiancé who let me go easily without so much as a glance.
And the
staggering, gorgeous Englishman who made me scream incoherent words…
All. Night.
Long.
When tragic
circumstances bring Julian closer than ever, it comes with unyielding passion and a new proposal… but not the traditional kind, the no-strings attached
kind.
Tensions
flare.
Life-changing
truths are revealed.
New sexual adventures are explored.
But the
question remains, will we ever be more than this … than this Interlude?
Interlude
is Book Two in the Interlude Duet. Due to graphic sexual content, it is

You need to read Prelude before starting Interlude. This is a continuation of Lina’s story and starts where Prelude finished.
My review is going to be vague due to possible spoilers.
When we last saw Lina she was left reeling. Now she’s trying to pick the pieces up and figure out how to carry on. Hurt by two of the most important men in her life, she’s understandably left confused from recent events. Just as she starts moving forward, her life is yet again disrupted and she has some tough choices to make.
I loved Lina in Prelude but she started irritating me a little in this book. The way she was so easily placated when asking for answers annoyed me at times. I’m a very inquisitive person so I found it hard to understand why she was so easily distracted and so forgiving when it comes to Julian, and even though she eventually gets those answers, she niggled at me a little with her bury her head in the sand attitude. That doesn’t mean I wasn’t sympathetic to her because I was. She’s a very sweet, likeable woman and it was easy to put myself in her situation and feel how conflicted she was.
Julian is a secretive man. His actions don’t always match his feelings and I admit he left me feeling just as confused as Lina at times. Slowly his secrets are revealed and I couldn’t help but love him that little bit more after getting a glimpse of the real Julian.
I think the surprise for me in this book was Andrew. In Prelude everything about him bored me, his personality, his dress sense and don't even get me started on his 'finesse' in the bedroom *insert the worlds biggest eye roll here*. He annoyed me so much with his selfish, blasé attitude.... I’m shocked but Ms Dar somehow managed to change my opinion of Andrew in Interlude and made me into a fan of his.
I knew after reading Prelude that Auden Dar was an author to keep my eye on and this book shows I was right. It’s got the perfect balance of romance, angst, secrets and hot chemistry. The characters grow and mature throughout the story and Lina is very easy to relate to throughout both these books.
If you haven’t read this duet yet I urge you to try them. A really enjoyable, unputdownable sweet, hot romance that I loved. I can’t wait for more from this author.
