I’ve been dying for Romans book since I started reading the Powerhouse MA series. He’s cocky, confident, selfish and not looking to settle down...they’re always the best ones to watch while they’re been brought to their knees by a woman and Roman was so much fun to watch. After giving in to his need for Sage, he assumes that’s the end of ‘them’..until he finds out she’s pregnant and he’s going to be a dad! This is the turning point for Roman and if you weren’t already a lover of his I’d be very shocked if he doesn’t win you over with his change in attitude. Finally manning up, he’s determined to show Sage that he can be depended on.
Single mum Sage is very easy to like. She’s strong, independent and sassy. Struggling to give her son the life she wants him to have, she’s already under a lot of pressure and stress. Throw in a surprise pregnancy and a ton of emotional baggage from her past and Roman has got his work cut out for him convincing Sage he’s a changed man.
I loved Roman and Sages story. There’s so much chemistry (and more) between them that I couldn’t help hoping Roman would win the girl. Sages son Sam is just the sweetest! This is a really enjoyable, sweet, hot and at times funny romance with really likeable characters that I struggled to put down. Definitely recommend this book and series.
