Sometimes love needs a
second chance…
I never
looked back after skipping out on my own wedding, even if it did leave me
estranged from most of my family. Eight years later, I have the life I’ve
always wanted. As an advertising account executive, my world is damn near
perfect.
Until I
come face-to-face with my past. With the man I once loved. The man who holds my
future in his hands. The man who’s hell-bent on getting even with me for
leaving him at the altar.
Even with
all the unfinished business between us, I still love Knox Montgomery. The only
problem?
He loves
me…KNOT.

RC Boldt is the wife of Mr. Boldt, a retired Navy Chief, mother of Little Miss Boldt, and former teacher of many students. She currently lives on the southeastern coast of North Carolina, enjoys long walks on the beach, running, reading, people watching, and singing karaoke. If you're in the mood for some killer homemade mojitos, can't recall the lyrics to a particular 80's song, or just need to hang around a nonconformist who will do almost anything for a laugh, she's your girl.

I adore this authors books and this second chance romance was no different. Emma Jane left Knox at the alter eight years ago, breaking his heart (and hers in the process). She wasn't in a good place after running out on the man she loves and she never expected to run into NFL superstar Becket on the night she needs a friend more than ever. I adored Becket. He is the best friend anyone could wish for. The man is a sweetheart and I'm desperate for more from him. Knox has never gotten over Emma Jane or been left at the alter. He comes across as a bit of a brat at first but hearing his inner thoughts shows a glimpse of how he's really feeling. I loved Knox and was desperate for him to get over his anger and win Emma Jane back. I'm not a stranger to RC Boldts work. I've read all her books and I comment in every review about the secondary characters and how there's a sense of familiarity about the characters. You feel like a part of the gang and I struggled to put this book down. |
