This is the first book I've read by Natasha Knight and I went into this not knowing what to expect. I didn't even know if it was a standalone or part of a series (I think it's part of a series of standalones, but having not read any previous books I still didn't feel like I was missing anything).
Zach is ex military. He's tough and bossy, determined to get his revenge and also supposedly been dead for the last two years. When he finds out Eve is also still alive, he makes it his mission to get his answers from her. I loved Zach. Yes he can be a bit of an ass and there were times I wanted to slap him, but he also has his slightly sweeter side that makes him that much easier to fall in love with. I loved his confusion over his feelings for Eve, the push and pull between them and the sexual chemistry that is buzzing between them.
Eve lost just as much as Zach did on that fateful night two years ago. Trying to start her new life, she's understandably dumbfounded when she's sees a dead man walking. Not knowing who to trust and with Zach constantly pushing her, Eves life gets turned upside down.
This book has it all. It's full of sexual chemistry, lies, betrayal , secrets and revenge. The story had me gripped from start to finish. There's plenty of action and the characters are really easy to like. Although this is my first book from Natasha Knight it definitely won't be my last. Highly recommend this book!
