Deke is the black sheep of the MC and I loved him from the start. Massively misunderstood he felt like he had no choice except to leave his family and loved ones and go it alone. He's been doing ok, he's got his fighting and plenty of opportunities for a one night stand so he's getting by. Then his cousin Austyn turns up on his doorstep forcing him to return home. With emotions still running high between Deke and his family, especially his dad, he has a lot of hard work to put in to rebuilding those relationship. Getting some devastating news means he has no choice but to stick around for a while which leads to him meeting Rylie.
I loved Rylie. Working security at a fight club, Rylie is tough as nails. She has a take no crap attitude, plenty of sass and she can definitely look after herself.
This book shows you a different side to Deke. I admit after reading the previous book, I thought I'd already made up my mind about Deke but this book allows you to dig deeper and also explains why young Deke did what he did.
I really enjoyed his book. Deke won me over fairly quickly and I have a massive girl crush on Rylie. Dekes dad GT, who I've always liked, really annoyed me in this book. There were times I detested him, and the way he was with Deke, but he managed to make me forgive him in the end ;) I can't wait for more from this series.
