***This is the fifth book in the series. First four books must be read first in order to understand this story line.***
The game was over and they stole the victory away from ME. Cheating. Lies. Corruption. Death. This pawn never stood a chance. But then he came for ME. He plucked ME from my nightmare and kept me safe. My heart was in tatters and my soul was lost. Until the beast in ME woke up. She was hungry and furious and didn’t play by the rules of their game. We were a vicious team. And we changed the game altogether. I took what was theirs because they took what was mine. ME against them. That is…until I had someone else with ME. Someone who vowed to fight alongside ME until the very end. I don’t want the love he has for ME. But the beast in ME still craves to take everything she deserves. He should run far away from ME. Instead, he runs straight for ME. This is ME, baby and I am going to ruin them all. ***Warning*** This is Me, Baby is a dark romance. Strong sexual themes and violence, which could trigger emotional distress, are found in this story. If you are sensitive to dark themes, then this story is not for you.

K has done it again OMG I was put through the ringer with this book. So many emotions while reading.
This book starts right where book 4 left us.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this series, I am sure these books get better and better each book.
poor Brie she is Broken after losing Duvan... Can Ren fix her ..
"I'm so lost," she murmurs against my chest. "I'm drifting. No home. No future. No anything. I don't even know who I am anymore."
I loved Gabe in this one I really hated him at first but you can't help but love how much he loves his family and what he will do for them..
The Party ( will not say but you will laugh) I laughed at it, as it fits Gabe and Hanna to a T.
Bring on the next one I really can not get enough of this series.

Vickie's ReviewFive Stars
I absolutely love this series. Every book takes me on a rollercoaster ride and leaves me breathless. But I struggled a little with the first half of this book. Now before you pick your pitchforks up and come hunt my ass down, let me explain why. While the actual story gripped me, I really, really struggled with Brie. I was torn between sympathising with her, (no one deserves to have had the life she has and deep down she is a nice girl), but I also hated her at the same time. I hate how she uses a certain someone to find some temporary peace. It left me conflicted about my feelings for her. I hate her for doing what she's doing but at the same time, because of the way K Webster writes her characters, I also completely understand and empathise with why she's doing it. Like always, K Webster threw some unexpected twists in that made my heart race and had me turning the pages as fast as I could and when the action starts, it's unbelievably fast paced and intense. This actually ended up been one of my favourite books in this series. Once I got into it, I didn't want it to end. |
