Community Service. Two words I should be thankful for, but I’m not. I resent the hours it’s away from building my business. The two previous kids I'd been paired up with didn’t work out because their mothers were more interested in getting in my bed. This next match with a little girl is my last hope. Unless this kid works out, I’m destined to serve time.

Single mum Hadley has been bringing her daughter Riley up alone for the past year. With Riley becoming more withdrawn, Hadley signs her up for the Companion programme, hoping a mans presence in her daughters life will bring Riley out of her shell. Hadley is focused solely on her and her daughter. She has no intention of getting involved with anyone but she's also not expecting ex felon Patrick (Trick) to be a nice, and totally hot, guy. Having made mistakes in the past, Trick is trying his best to move past it. He's not what I was expecting to be honest, which is always a positive. He's not a bad guy, he's made mistakes and he's paying for them. The way he is with Riley totally won me over.
I really enjoyed this book. The characters are really likeable, the chemistry between them is great, the relationship between them isn't rushed and it's a really good, sweet romance.
