I really liked Carters story. His story was a lot darker than I was expecting (totally NOT a bad thing. Just wasn't expecting it). Carter and Quinn are both very troubled people, fighting to overcome certain things and it makes their characters darker than the other characters in this series (so far).
Carter Savage has always intrigued me. He's dependable, loyal, doesn't really say a lot and he's a bit of a stalker (he's kinda my kindred spirit ;) ). He's got these weird little quirks that made me like him even more.
When his co-worker Quinn finds herself face to face with her past, it's Carter who comes to her rescue and cares for her afterwards, surprising both of them.
I really liked Quinn. She's had a hard life and is trying her best to move on from it. With them both fighting their own personal demons, Carter vows to stay away from her but his protective/stalker side comes out, and it's only a matter of time before the chemistry between them gets out of control.
A really enjoyable romance with some dark parts and some super hot parts, I just wish it was a little bit longer.
