Vice by Callie Hart

TITLE: Vice
AUTHOR: Callie Hart

In war, there are only three rules.

Obey orders.

Protect the guy standing next to you.

Stay alive.

Cade Preston left the military a long time ago, but he has never ceased to live by the laws of combat. As vice president of the Widow Makers Motorcycle club, he’s been loyal. He’s fought tooth and nail to stay alive. He’s shed blood to save the lives of those who matter to him.

And now he’s gone and done something he swore he would never do.

He’s fallen for the one girl he can’t have.

Cortina Villalobos is an untouchable. The daughter of one of Ecuador’s most notorious cartel leaders, she is beyond Cade’s reach in every way. Fernando Villalobos is a murderer and a madman. He will kill anyone who dares look twice at his daughter, and yet Cade can’t walk away.

Will he disobey orders?

Will he abandon his club?

And will taking on the House of Wolves cost him his life?

Note: Vice is a standalone novel, with a complete beginning, middle and end. If you would like to read more about Cade Preston, you can find him featured in both the Blood & Roses series and the Dead Man’s Ink series. However, you do not need to read those books in order to enjoy this one.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Callie Hart is a USA Today bestselling author of dark romance novels. She is an obsessive romantic who loves throwing a dark twist into her stories. Her characters are imperfect, flawed individuals who dictate when she eats, sleeps and breathes. She loves to travel, and often pens her books when she's on the road, drawing inspiration from her often unique and wild surroundings.

If she's not writing, you'll undoubtedly find her with her nose buried deep in a book, or binge watching Game of Thrones.

✫★✫★✫ Five Stars

Cade Preston has had me intrigued since first reading about him. The Vice President of the Widow Makers has been searching for his missing sister Laura for the last seven years. Determined to never give up, his search finally leads him to Ecuador and straight to Fernando Villalobos. Fernando is one sick, sick puppy. He's depraved, evil and completely mad. Even knowing the danger that he's putting himself in doesn't deter Cade and his mission. With an unlikely ally in Natalia, Fernando's daughter, Cade starts putting the pieces together while trying to keep his true identity secret.

There are some fantastic characters in Vice. Cade had already won me over before I'd even started this book. He's badass, strong, protective, caring, dangerous, hot, sexy and the list goes on and on. Natalia is great. Tough, strong and sexy with a heart, it wasn't long before I was willing her on. There's one particular character I would love to see more of in the future. Plato has me intrigued and I would love to know his story both before and after Fernando.

Like always with Callie Harts books, there's plenty of twists and turns in Vice, the story had me gripped and she made me fall in love with Cade (to be honest I didn't expect anything else, Callie has a knack of been able to write the perfect alpha man).
