I’ve been dying to get my hands on this book for weeks and it was everything I’d been hoping it would be.

Roe is a complex character that I absolutely loved. She’s young, still in high school and should be having the time of her life but she likes to keep people at a distance, she doesn’t let people get to know the real her, the only real person she’s got is her uncle and he can be a little over protective and overbearing for her liking.

Now let me just say there is nothing (and I mean nothing) I love more in my books than a stalker. They are my weak spot. Hunter is in a league of his own. He’s the best kind of stalker a woman could want (I’m well aware of how messed up that sounds). He’s not a man that you’d want to cross, he’s tortured, flawed and got so many layers to him that I couldn’t wait to unravel them and find out more about him. He’s got another side to him though. He’s loyal, even when he doesn’t want to be. He can be protective and gentle. He doesn’t want to care, he just wants to repay his debt, but he wasn’t counting on Roe and the feelings she evokes. There’s more to him than meets the eye.

This story is so much more than I was expecting. It sucked me in from the start and I ended up reading it in one go, it was just too good to put down. The chemistry between Roe and Hunter was perfect, the story is filled with lies and betrayal, regret and obsession. It’s got twists that kept me guessing and that ending! I love a cliffhanger ending when it’s done right and I absolutely loved the ending of A Lovely Obsession (not long to wait for book two either). If you like a book that’s filled with chemistry and that will keep you guessing I highly recommend this book.
